Sarah Van Peteghem is a designer and stylist from Antwerp, Belgium, currently living in Munich. She is the woman behind the popular interior design blog Coco Lapine Design, where she features beautiful interiors from all around the world.
Inspired by Nordic design and a lover of minimalism, she describes herself as someone who is having fun in expressing herself creatively and creates prints with the interior in mind.
With an ever-growing passion for interior design, Sarah’s prints are often minimalist and designed to look amazing in an interior setting. Always keeping the purpose of the artwork in the interior in mind, thinking how it would fit within a certain home or setting, her pristine eye for design aesthetics has garnered her a great and loyal group of followers.
When she moved to Berlin after her studies, she started her interior design blog cocolapinedesign.com as a creative outlet and for inspiration for the decoration of her own flat.
Soon after she started to design prints as well, feeling the need to also create things for her interior herself, printing everything locally in Germany and using only FSC certified papers.
Short after, she was invited to style several Berlin spaces and contribute with her own works.
When it comes to the interior, Sarah’s advice would be to always buy timeless and neutral furniture and to be more outgoing with the accessories, such as pillows, prints, vases and throw blankets.
Her interior styling mostly exists out of the use of neutral colours. She likes the look of different tints of grey together and combining those with brass, cork, wood tints and some greenery.
Together with the love for mid-century modern clean lines and the simplicity of Nordic furniture she creates a light and playful interior look.
